Clark County Fair

One day in April I was reading a book to Seth about pigs.  At the end he said, "I've never seen a real live pig before.  I want to see one one day." He's seen a pig before, but I guess he didn't remember.  It just happened that the Clark County fair was that weekend.  We've never gone because it's in Logandale.  But I decided it would be worth the drive.  And the kids are big enough I could go by myself since Bob keeps talking about how we use up all his time off.  But once I told him about my plan, he didn't want to miss out on the fun and he came with us.  So we pulled the kids out of school again and drove out to the fair.  Everyone loved it.  The weather was great.  We watched the pig races, and dog tricks and all the livestock and animals.  We went to see a juggler show and the juggler picked Seth to be his audience helper.

Spring Break and Easter

For Spring Break we went to Cowabunga Bay one day.  We got passes there for the summer.  We had a great time.  Ruby is just barely under the height requirement for all the good rides.  Hopefully she'll grow a little this summer.  Then one day we all went to the temple. Grandma had sent Danny some names to do baptisms for and we're trying to get him to the temple at least every other month.  So we all drove over one morning.  I went in with Danny to make sure he got where he was supposed to be and then I left him and grabbed some cinnamon rolls from the cafeteria.  Then the rest of us walked around the grounds and ate.  Everyone loved it.  Especially Ruby.

On Thursday we went to Visalia for Easter.  We got there a day before everyone else.  Grandma took Danny shopping for his birthday and we went to see a movie. Once everyone got there, we had a birthday party for all the April birthdays.  We also watched conference and went to the park.

Danny is 13!

Danny is a teenager now and we love it! He's fun to talk to and hang out with.  He's a great older brother. He loves basketball and works so hard at getting better. Our backyard basketball court was one of our best investments.  Danny is out there every single day.  He also loves basketball shoes and he checks out what's new online regularly.

On Danny's birthday we drove to Visalia.  So we celebrated the night before with Wimpy's for dinner and mud pie.  Then, when we got to Visalia, Grandma had a great birthday party for Danny and Ryan.  The theme was sports and fishing since that's what they both like.  She had fish races where the kids used squirt bottles to encourage goldfish to race in a rain gutter.  And we played frisbee golf in the backyard.

Basketball

We can't get enough basketball around here.  Danny was on two club basketball teams and his middle school team.  And Aaron played on a club team too.

Seth and Ruby are super basketball fans.

We went to a Lady Cougars game when they were in a tournament here in Las Vegas.  Cosmo picked us out right away as Cougar Fans.

Snow Day

We pulled the kids out of school early one Friday in February to go up to Mt. Charleston.  The snow was melting fast, but be got there in time for some slightly muddy sled rides and some snowmen.
