Little League

Danny and Aaron finished their second season of little league.

Aaron was in his second year of t-ball and he was a Grasshopper. They had a great time. Aaron really got it this year. He loved to go to his games. He's come home and talk about how he "crushed it" when he hit the ball to the outfield. He was a great player and played at first base a lot. He also entertained the parents by doing handstands while his team was in the field.

(I can't find what I did with pictures of Danny in his uniform :( I'll post it later when I find it)

Danny was in AAA and was a Yankee. This was his first year in AAA and he was one of the youngest on the team. He was super lucky to get on the same team with his best friend, CJ. In this level, the boys have to try out and the coaches pick which boys they want. He had a great time. He played outfield most of the time.

Pinewood Derby

Danny made his first Pinewood Derby car. He planned his design and then got Bob to help him build it. He had such a great time! His car was named the "Flaming Hot Rod" by the judges. He came in 5th out of all the boys.

Ruby eats

Ruby loves to eat like us. She eats her baby food. But she loves bread or crackers or anything she can steal out of my hand and sog/eat herself. She started eating food at 6 months. Her first real food was a cookie she stole out of my hand. That made me realize I better get her eating her own food. She makes awesome gaggy faces when she tries a new vegetable.

She's also sitting like a champ and loves to take baths.

Date Night

(photo by Aaron. He loves to be our family photographer)

We had a multi-date night. Aaron went with Bob to the dollar store and McDonalds - two of Aaron's favorite activities. He had been counting the days until their planned date. They had fun and then they came home and stayed with Seth and Ruby while Danny, Rachel and I went to see the high school's West Side Story. Our babysitter, Lexi, was a dancer in it. We had a great time. It was a great musical to take a boy to with all the fighting and "rumbles". Rachel loved it and Danny did too. Then we went to In n Out for milkshakes and fries. It was a great night with my two big kids.

Sleepover

We had a two-day sleepover with the Deans kids. Our kids were so excited. We don't usually do sleepovers so this was a big treat. Kata and Collin were going out of town so we added their 4 to our 5. We were thankful for all the space in our new house. It went great. The kids all had a fun time and there was always someone for them to play with. My trampoline got a lot of use.

Mother's Day

I had a great mothers day as usual. Bob cooked muffins and the kids all made me cards. And I got a new trampoline for my gift. We all love it! Our old one broke before we moved and it was small. This one is so big and nice. Bob spent several hours on Saturday putting it together for me. It's so fun to jump with the kids.

Fathers and Sons

Bob needs to write this one

Aaron's Face

Aaron had a dancing disaster. When Aaron does anything he does it all out. One night we were dancing and he was trying out a new move. Somehow he jumped up and rolled in the air and landed flat on his face. He didn't even put his hands out it happened so fast. Both lips were split and his nose was bleeding. We got him calmed down and the bleeding stopped and it seemed like he was doing ok so we put him to bed. A couple of hours later he woke up crying and incoherent. When Bob said his name and Aaron asked "Where's Aaron?". That made us a little nervous. And then he started throwing up. Bob took him to urgent care. The doctor said nothing was broken and he didn't have a concussion. His stomach was just irritated from swallowing a lot of blood. His face was so swollen for the next few days and he had some big scabs and a black eye. He wouldn't let me take a picture until it was mostly better. And then when we'd go anywhere he'd cover his scabs so no one would see.

51s 2011

We love going to the 51s games. Bob's the only one who actually watches the game much. We decided it's like paying to go to the park. Because the kids love to run around and climb trees and play catch and eat snacks. There just happens to be a baseball game going on at the same time. This time we went over spring break and Grandma Zonda was here helping us move in so she got to come to the game too. It was a perfect night.

Easter

We had a great Easter. All the Woolleys came for Easter and to see our new house. And Casey and Kami brought Boston for us all to meet. It was great to see everyone and have enough room for them. We had family pictures taken too. The kids had fun finding their baskets in our new house. The pool was still a little cool, but people still tried out the pool.

Our New House

We moved into our new house on April 16. We love it! We have so much space now. The bedrooms are big, our backyard is huge and the pool is great. We feel so blessed. Ruby has her own pink bedroom. Danny and Rachel share a room (only until Ruby is a little older then Rachel will move in with her) and Seth and Aaron share. Plus we have a playroom and office. The house was in great shape when we moved in so we haven't had to do much to it. And we got renters into our other house right away.
