Halloween
We had a fun Halloween week. The kids had a halloween piano recital on Monday night.
They did great. Wednesday night was our Trunk r Treat. Bob was in
charge, as the ward mission leader, so I went around with the little
kids and then we handed out candy. Thursday was Halloween and we went
over to Shauna Reed's house and had pizza and then went trick or
treating. It was a huge group. The kids had lots of fun. Danny and
Aaron were sumo wrestlers, Rachel was a crayon box, Seth was a power
ranger one night and spiderman from last year one night, and Ruby was
Sophia the first.
New Family Pictures
Grandma and Grandpa took our family pictures this year on the wall around the corner from our house. They did a great job. And then I did quite a bit of photoshop because 4 out of our 5 kids needed some kind of injury photoshopped off their face. Rachel was the flawless face.
Aaron's Baptism
Aaron's baptism was the week after his birthday. And since everyone came his birthday weekend, only Grandma and Grandpa were able to make it back for his baptism. But that was ok. We still had a great time. Sandy and May and Aaron's friends, Tyson and Collin came too. It was a beautiful day. He had a great football game in the morning. We did the baptism and confirmation in the afternoon. Rachel gave the talk on the Holy Ghost and she did an amazing job. It
was wonderful. Aaron said he felt so warm and happy and wanted to do it
again. And that night we left Seth and Ruby with a babysitter and went to the restaurant at the top of the Stratosphere. It was a great day. We're so proud of Aaron and his choice to be baptized.
Aaron is 8
Aaron's birthday happened to fall on the day of the Pumpkinman, so we had lots of family around for his birthday. Sadly, I didn't get any good pictures of that. Aaron had a Reece's ice cream cake and got some foam swords, clue the game, and a spy watch.
We celebrated his birthday with friends a few weeks later when we went to Warehouse Wars and Flip n Out.

Pumpkinman
We did the pumpkin man again. Bob and Grandpa Cliff did the full sprint and did great. Jean, Ryan and Dustin did a relay sprint. It's so fun to get together for this race. Ryan brought his whole family and Kristal came too. The race almost got cancelled this year because of the government shutdown. But two days before, the government reopened and we could use the lake. The race seemed to be less crowded this year because of that.
