Super Fun Trip
We had a great trip to Southern California. It's been a while since we went to Disneyland. So went down Wednesday night and staying in a hotel across the street from Disneyland. Thursday we went to Disneyland. We had a great day. Seth and Ruby were so excited about it. Ruby wore her princess Belle dress and loved to point out when other girls had princess things on too. Seth loved the Buzz lightyear ride. We went on that 3 times in a row. He also loved going on whatever he was tall enough for. He thought Splash Mountain was great. Danny, Rachel and Aaron were so fun to go with too. They loved the Matterhorn, Splash Mountain and Indiana Jones. We were sad that Space mountain was closed the day we were there.
The next day we got to go to Magic Mountain with Ryan and Venessa and their kids and Grandma Zonda and Grandpa Cliff. That was so fun too. It was so much less crowded there. The only time we had to wait more that 5 minutes for a ride was when it stopped working. There wasn't much for Ruby to ride there, but Seth was 42 inches and that is the cutoff for lots of the medium roller coasters. He was up for everything. He even went on the Ninja with me. I think that's a pretty good size roller coaster. I thought he'd freak out a little but he loved it. Danny Rachel and Aaron were so excited to get to do some major roller coasters. They loved Goliath. It had a huge drop and went so fast. It was fun watching them psyche themselves up to go on it.
Saturday morning there was a kids fishing day at Castaic Lake right by Ryan's house. I stayed home with Ruby and everyone else went. They had a great time. Danny especially loves fishing. Sadly, they didn't catch anything. When they came back we went over to Emma Wood state beach by Ventura. We were worried it would be too cold, but it was great. A little too cold for serious boogie boarding, but perfect for playing in the sand and splashing in the water. There were lots of little crabs in the sand that were fun to play with. And Ryan brought his fishing pole and let Danny fish a little. He caught 2 fish! I think they were called Surf Perch. He was pretty proud.
