Rachel started soccer this season. Her team is called the Orange Oranges. She voted for Orange Lizards, but her name wasn't chosen. She has a lot of fun at practice and the games so far. She loses a little concentration by the end of practice and can often be seen playing with grass, dancing or digging holes with her cleats. But she's so cute out there!
And this is what Aaron looks like when he comes home from playing in the dirt during Rachel's practices.

Missing Aaron
While all the family was visiting for Easter and Seth's blessing, we went to the park and wanted to get a picture of everyone. So my dad found the perfect spot and got us all posed and we asked a stranger to take the picture for us. After several pictures were taken we started to head for home and then I realized Aaron wasn't with us. He'd escaped to the playground and missed all the pictures! So we quickly took a picture of just him and through the magic of photoshop, you'd never know he was missing!
Gorgeous Rachel
Rachel has been interested in dressing up a lot lately. The other day she was getting dressed for school and she said "I have to wear a dress today because I told my friends I would and I don't want to lie." So she got dressed and added her jewelry and then found me and asked a couple of times, "Am I gorgeous or what?" Of course you're gorgeous, Rachel!

Easter and Seth's Blessing
We had a great Easter weekend. All the Woolley family came to visit. It was a little cramped in our house, but so fun to see everyone. And for spring break before that we had spent the weekend at my parent's house in Visalia. We had a great time there going to the park and spending time with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Dustin.
The Easter Bunny came Sunday morning and then we went to church for our wonderful little boy's blessing. He was an angel and slept through the whole thing. On the other hand, Aaron ate too much candy before church and threw up during Sacrament meeting. Luckily we were sitting in the overflow on the hardwood floor.
Cute Easter pictures of matching kids were not to be this year. I bought them all coordinating green clothes. But I hadn't thought about Easter and Seth's blessing being the same day and that Seth would be wearing white instead of his Easter outfit. And then Aaron's Easter candy incident ruined his green. So this is the best picture we have for Easter, but we'll take it.

Danny Turns 7
Danny turns seven today. He's such a smart, kind, competitive boy. He's always at the top of his class with all his grades. He loves all sports and just started soccer again. He plays catch-it at recess and loves to come home and tell me how well he did against the kids in his class and against the big 5th-graders. His school participates in a national online learning game called "Ticket to Read" where they get tickets for how well they read stories online and take tests on them. He was recently listed on the homepage of the website because he had such a large amount of tickets. He's also excited to be baptized in one more year. He regularly pulls out his Book of Mormon at night and reads it to himself in bed. We're so thankful that Danny is part of our family. He's such a blessing to have around. We love you Danny!
Monster Trucks II
This past Saturday marked our second time attending Monster Jam World Finals here in Las Vegas. We went early so the boys could participate in the meet-n-greet event prior to the race and freestyle competition. The boys had a great time - when it comes to special events our boys judge their level of fun by how many treats and snacks they get. Based on the Jack-n-The-Box kid's meals, cotton candy, pretzels and sodas they consumed I'd say they had a raring time. Getting to see Grave Digger, Brutus, Maximum Destruction, Avenger, etc. up close didn't take away from the experience either.
Just in case you can't read it, that guy's rear end says "DANCE". Awesome.
Aaron got a little spooked by the sensory overload at the start of the event again - with fireworks, shooting flames, loud music, 20+ monster trucks parading around in a circle revving their engines it's easy to understand why. Once we got past that both of the boys got into it and enjoyed watching Maximum Desctruction take his 9th racing championship. Yea, I know my moster truck stats now.
Here are some photos from the event. I swear that Danny's hands were not glued to the inside of his pockets - that's just how he poses.
You always see some odd things in Vegas. A monster truck event only amplifies that weirdness. Here's my unique photo from the evening. These 'men' were brave to wear these outfits to a monster truck rally.

Camping
We went camping at Valley of Fire this weekend. The kids loved it and Seth was great. We cooked hot dogs and s'mores and then had donuts and hot chocolate for breakfast. It was a little cold at night, but the kids still slept fine. And they loved exploring and going for walks. We sat in the tent at night and told stories until we were tired.
